All Robo Alive water toys use water-activated technology. Here is what you need to know:

• Activation: Place the toy in water and it starts moving within 2-3 seconds. Remove from water to stop.
• Water types: Works in fresh water (bathtub, pool, bucket). Some users report they work in chlorinated pool water, but rinse them off after use to extend battery life.
• Battery life: Pre-installed LR44 batteries last about 4+ hours of active swimming. They are replaceable when they run out.
• Storage: Always dry the toy completely before storing. Leaving it in water will drain the batteries.
• Temperature: Room-temperature or warm water works best. Very cold water may slow the motor.
